Modify Item Holds Wizard Properties
You can change certain system settings for the Modify Item Holds wizard using the Set Properties window. The Modify Item Holds wizard allows you to set the following properties.
Display Property Page
You can choose when to display the Modify Item Holds wizard’s Set Properties window by selecting one of the following options.
| • | Wizard Startup displays the Set Properties window the first time you access the wizard until you end the wizard session or log off the client. |
| • | Never does not display the Set Properties window the first time you access the wizard. If Never is selected and you want to open the Set Properties window, point to the wizard’s toolbar button, right-click, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu. |
Depending on the value selected in Display Property Page, defaults may appear as the first step of the wizard. Property values that are changed in the first step of a wizard are retained only until the right-click method is used to set properties.
Behavior
Select or clear any of the following checkboxes:
| • | Display Suspension Dates—select this checkbox to display the Date Suspended and Date Unsuspended fields in the wizard. If this option is not selected, you will be unable to suspend a hold when it is placed. |
| • | Remove From Holds Shelf—select this checkbox to automatically make the suspended hold unavailable. If you clear the checkbox, the suspended hold becomes inactive but remains available. The item’s current location will remain as the Holds shelf until you make the hold unavailable using the Check Item Status wizard, or by running the Clean Holds Shelf report. By default, this checkbox is selected. |
Note: This property is not available for sites using the SirsiDynix Symphony and Lyngsoe Intelligent Material Management System (IMMS) Interface. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lyngsoe Intelligent Material Management System Interface.
| • | Make Next Hold Available—Select this checkbox so that when an available hold is suspended, the next hold in the queue, if any, becomes available. By default, this checkbox is selected. |

| • | Reroute Available Hold—When this property is selected and an available hold is modified and the pickup location is changed, a transit message displays. You have the option of putting the item in transit. When this occurs, the current location changes to INTRANSIT. |

| • | Allow Editing of Pickup By Date—select to allow the modification of the Pickup By date for an available hold. The Pickup By date displays only if your library uses the Days for Avail Holds to Expire attribute in the Library policy. |
Defaults
On the Defaults tab, under Modify All/Selected Holds Default, select the Select All checkbox if you want this option automatically selected in the Modify Item Holds wizard.
Helpers
On the Helpers tab, you can select the Item Search Helper to display in the Modify Item Holds wizard.
