BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL Wizard

The BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL policy allows you to specify the BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL that SirsiDynix Symphony should use to log a user in to WorkFlows (and SirsiDynix SymphonyWeb, if it's installed on the system). This allows the user to log in to these clients using the credentials they use for BLUEcloud Central.

The function of this wizard relies on an existing BLUEcloud Single Sign-On configuration. If you are interested in having BLUEcloud Single Sign-On set up for your library system, contact your SirsiDynix representative.

[rrr the following content will go into the guide named after this section]

For information about how BLUEcloud Single Sign-On works with SirsiDynix Symphony to authenticate users, see the Symphony BLUEcloud Single Sign-On Authentication Setup Guide for WorkFlows and SirsiDynix SymphonyWeb.

There is only one BLUEcloud Single Sign-On policy (a single policy covers both WorkFlows and SirsiDynix SymphonyWeb (if it is installed)). Click Close to exit the wizard.

Attributes

The BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL wizard displays the following attributes.

Description

This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.

URL

This attribute specifies the base BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL. When a user opens WorkFlows, the workstation's default browser opens the /login endpoint of the URL. For SirsiDynix SymphonyWeb, the user is sent to the /login endpoint of the URL after navigating to the address of SymphonyWeb. For example, if this attribute is set to www.sirsidynix.com/cas, the user is sent to www.sirsidynix.com/cas/login.

Your SirsiDynix representative provided the base URL to you when BLUEcloud Single Sign-On was set up for your library system. If you don't have this URL, contact the SirsiDynix Project Manager who helped your library to set up Single Sign-On.

Single sign-on Principal match point

This attribute specifies the field in the user record BLUEcloud Single Sign-On should use as a match point for the CAS principal name. Select from the drop-down list either "BCSTAFF_ID" to use the BLUEcloud Staff ID, or "WEBATH_ID" to use the Web Auth ID. If this attribute is not set, BLUEcloud Single Sign-On uses the Web Auth ID.

Enable BLUEcloud Single Sign-On for WorkFlows

This attribute specifies whether or not SirsiDynix Symphony should use BLUEcloud Single Sign-On to log users in to WorkFlows.

Redirect URL for WorkFlows login

This attribute specifies the URL that receives the ticket generated by the user's attempt to log in to WorkFlows using BLUEcloud Single Sign-On. This URL sends the ticket to SirsiDynix Symphony for validation. SirsiDynix Symphony validates the ticket using the validate endpoint, which is based off the base BLUEcloud Single Sign-On URL ("URL" in this policy) (for example, www.sirsidynix.com/cas/validate). If the ticket is valid and the credentials match a user, the user is logged in to WorkFlows.

Your SirsiDynix representative provided the redirect URL to you when BLUEcloud Single Sign-On was set up for your library system. If you don't have this URL, contact the SirsiDynix Project Manager who helped your library to set up Single Sign-On.

Note: This attribute is only used for BLUEcloud Single Sign-On for WorkFlows.
