Spine/Pocket Label Tab

For reports that print spine and pocket labels, the following options may be available on the Spine/Pocket Label tab.

List of Author Subfields to Print

By default, the full range of available author subfields print on a label. This field can limit which author subfields print. Enter subfields to print separated by a comma, with no spaces. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

List of Title Subfields to Print

By default, the full range of available title subfields print on a label. This field can limit which title subfields print. Enter subfields to print separated by a comma, with no spaces. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Pocket Label Line Wrap at Word Break

If this check box is selected, the line will wrap only at the end of a word. If this check box is cleared, the text in the pocket labels wrap at 28 characters, not on a standard syllabic break. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Pocket Labels

By default, this check box is selected, and prints both a spine and a pocket label. If this check box is cleared, only the spine label prints. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Print Call Number on Pocket

If this check box is selected, the call number prints in long, single line format above the pocket label text. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Print Copy Number

By default, this check box is selected, and prints copy numbers preceded by ”C:” Items that are copy 1 do not print item information. If this check box is cleared, a label prints for each copy, but the copy numbers do not print. For examples, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Print Item ID on Pocket

If this check box is selected, the Item ID displays above the title on the pocket. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results. When printing labels for specific Item IDs, this check box is selected by default.

Print Library Preceding Call Numbers

If this check box is selected, the library name prints above the pocket label text preceding the call number. You must select the Print Call Number on Pocket check box to get the call number to also display. For examples, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Note: If you select the Print Library Preceding Call Numbers check box and also select the Print Location on Pocket check box, the library displays twice.

Print Location on Pocket

If this check box is selected, the library and location prints above the title on the pocket. For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Print Location on Spine

If this check box is selected, the location displays above the spine call number For an example, see Spine Pocket Label Output Results.

Note: If you select the Print Location on Pocket check box and also select the Print Library Preceding Call Numbers check box, the library displays twice.
