Delete Resource Helper
Click the Delete Resource helper to delete information, as follows.
You can also do the following to delete a resource.

Right click a resource and select Delete. |

•
|
Select Helpers in the menu bar, then select Delete Resource. |
Delete a Resource and All Children
To delete a parent resource and all related children, including images
|

Double-click each level of the directory tree, or use the Expand helper, to display the resource you want to delete in the directory tree. |

Select the resource you want to delete. |
|

Click the Delete Resource helper, or right-click on the resource to select Delete. |
|

|
Select This Resource and All Children to delete the resource selected in the directory tree and all resources added to it and created below it. |
|

Click OK. The following message displays. |
Are you sure you want to delete the node and all its children resources and files?
Click Yes to remove the parent resource and all children or click No to return to the Resource Manager window. Deleted image files are placed in the Trashsite in a Trashbin with the current date as its name.
Delete Selected Images from a Resource
When multiple media files are associated with a resource, you can delete a range of image files from the resource. Do the following to delete a range of image files associated with a resource.

Double-click each level of the directory tree, or use the Expand helper, to display the resource from which to delete images. |
|

Select the resource containing of the range of image files. When a resource has a range of image files associated with it, an Image Position indicator displays in the Resource Metadata block. Click on the right and left arrows to display the Image Info for each of the numbered images in the range. |

Click the Delete Resource helper, or right-click to select Delete. |
|

Select Selected Images in this Resource to enable Image Range. Image Range will remain grayed out unless Selected Images in this Resource is selected. |
Type the range of images for Image Range, as follows.

|
Type values using a hyphen as the range indicator, such as 1-5. |
|
•
|
If your range is not continuous, enter numbers separated by commas, such as 1-2,4-5. |
|
•
|
You can also enter a single image number, such as 4. |

Click OK. The following message displays. |
Are you sure you want to delete the selected images?
Click Yes to remove the images or click No to return to the Resource Manager window. Deleted image files are placed in the Trashsite in a Trashbin with the current date as its name.
Deleting a range of images deletes all images at and below the highlighted resource, but leaves the metadata.
When an image range is renumbered, the remaining images are collapsed numerically. For instance, an article has pages numbered 1 through 15. If pages 1 through 5 were deleted, the article would now show page 6 as page 1, and page 15 now would be page 10. Likewise, if pages 6 through 10 were deleted, page 11 would now be page 6, and page 15 would be page 10.
Delete All Images Starting at and below the Highlighted Resource
To delete all images starting at and below the highlighted resource, but leaving the metadata

Select the collection resource you want to delete, or select a branch of the collection. |

Click the Delete Resource helper, or right-click on the collection to select Delete. |
|

|
Select All Images Starting at and below this Resource to delete all the objects added to or below the selected collection. |

Click OK. The following message displays. |
Are you sure you want to delete the node and all its children resources and files?
Click Yes to remove the resource and its images or click No to return to the Resource Manager window. Deleted image files are placed in the Trashsite in a Trashbin with the current date as its name.
Exercise extreme caution when removing all images.
